Guidelines & Code of Conduct:
Please be friendly and respectful to all. This includes, but is not limited to, members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability. Any sort of bigotry will not be tolerated on the network!
If someone asks to be referred by a certain name or pronouns, please do so.
Please keep things clean and family friendly, avoid talking about politics & religion, and follow all rules and regulations of the FCC or your country's equivalent of the FCC. Absolutely no profane, obscene, or otherwise indecent language is allowed at any time!
All emergency traffic takes priority! Stations on the network are required to respond to any emergency traffic that may arise. If anyone has an emergency at any time, you can say "break-break" or anything else that indicates you have an emergency, even if there is a conversation or net taking place, and someone will respond to your emergency.
Unless it's an emergency, please do not respond to any unidentified station. Chances are, they just want to cause problems and have nothing better to do than to provoke others on the network. Responding to them only encourages more bad behavior, so please ignore them. If they are attempting to jam or otherwise disrupt the network, please report it by clicking the "contact" link above or by contacting KJ7OMO or any other network administrator directly. if you have any evidence, be sure to submit that as well.
When transmitting, please wait at least 1 to 3 seconds before talking to allow the network enough time to open up the squelch. Failure to do so will result in part of your transmission to be lost.
When someone is finished transmitting, please wait least 3 to 5 seconds before continuing your conversation, in case someone wants to join in or if there is an emergency.
During a long conversation, please check once in a while if anyone else needs to use the network. If nobody responds, you may carry on with your conversation. If someone responds and wishes to use the network, please end your current conversation yield to the station requesting use of the network. You can always continue your conversation at a later time.
All stations are required to identify with their callsign at the beginning and end of their conversations and at least once every 10 minutes for lengthy conversations, though it doesn't hurt to identify more frequently if you want. If your country requires more frequent identifying, then please identify according to your country's rules and regulations.
Please avoid connecting to other networks while connected to this one, unless the network you wish to interconnect belongs to you or you have permission from it's owner to do so. There are many networks out there who's owners do not like it when people interconnect their networks with others.
More stuff will probably be added to this list later when needed.
This code of conduct applies to anyone and everyone who are connected to and / or otherwise using this network by any means, including but not limited to nodes, repeaters, links, conference servers, VoIP, telephone, internet, digital voice modes, etc.
